A package arrived today~

BRS Nendoroid and figma arrived safely today.

I had to pay extra 13.81CAD, because of customs though. This is the third time I've been charged with customs, since I started collecting figures 2 years ago. Have you been charged customs? If so, how often?

Anyways, Iron Man 2 on DVD/Blu-Ray came out 2 days ago. I went to Metrotown's HMV to buy it on release date, but they didn't have it... there were any signs/posters advertising it =S. Instead, I got it yesterday at Richmond Centre's HMV and since I got a PS3 a few months ago... I bought the Blu-Ray version instead of the Two-Disc Edition DVD, since the Blu-Ray Edition came with the two discs in Blu-Ray + the DVD (and Digital Copy) for only $3.00 more...

I'm pretty excited for the new movies coming out next year: The Avengers, Captain America, and Transformers 3 (even if Megan Fox isn't gonna be in it). I hope they don't disappoint. Click Here to Read More..

September Loot & Gunpla WIP

September Loot!~

Summer’s gone, autumn has arrived… and along with it, some loot ^^.

Yui-chan

Mio arrived in the first week of this month, but was too lazy to post about it until now :P. Boa Hancock arrived on Monday and Azu~nyan on the next day. As for the manga, I saw them in local stores and decided to buy them. I ordered hebi-hime from Otacute and they along with it came the above Yui poster.

BRS Nendoroid and Figma should've arrived before Azu~nyan, they were supposed to be shipped 5 days earlier... I hope they arrive safe.

MG Wing Gundam

Anyways, about 2 months ago, I mentioned that I had entered a Gunpla contest. Unexpected problems arrived and I didn’t finish the model. I had problems applying the white paint and didn’t have enough time to fix the problem, so I didn’t hand in the model and left it unfinished as you can see above. Later, I did some research and found out what I did wrong. Instead of applying several thin coats of the white paint… I applied one thick, uneven coat of paint which ended up looking like crap.

MG Blue Frame Gundam Astray

Since then, I’ve been kinda working on my Gunpla backlog. I started building the MG Blue Frame Gundam Astray. It’s left unfinished for now because I don’t like the blue and will be painting it metallic blue later, also thinking of painting the orange parts silver.

MG Exia Gundam's

After the Astray Blue Frame, I decided to build MG Exia. I bought the regular one and the Ignition Mode a few months ago, so that I could display the regular Exia and Exia Repair I. They’re left unfinished, since I’m planning to paint it, but will do so later when we get better weather.

MG Shin Musha Gundam

And now I’m starting to build MG Shin Musha Gundam. I placed the runners on my work area, but haven’t touched them for days.

Early August Loot~

Here's some of the stuff I got this month.

Manga~

Saber Alter Figma arrived last Wednesday. I was expecting Mio and Blade Liger to arrive this week, but surprisingly it arrived 2 days later even though it was shipped about 10 days later (not that I'm complaining ^^;). As I was window shopping last friday, these two manga caught my attention and decided to buy it.

RG RX-78-2 Gundam~

Today I found out that the RG Gundam RX-78-2 was in stock and went out to buy it. Odd that they didn't call me since I pre-ordered it though... Oh well, at least I got it.

Moe Moe Kyun Mio should be arriving later this month, been looking forward to it since I saw the pictures earlier this year. Click Here to Read More..

Name that Gundam! (WIP - 0101)

Name that Gunpla!

I signed up for a local Gundam Model Kit Competition near the end of May.

Deadline to sign up for it was July 15th, and the deadline to hand in the model is August 1st. 

My gunpla work area.

I didn't start building this until a week ago, and this is what I have done so far. 
I snap-built it and took the armor parts off so that I can paint the innerframe.

The innerframe is pretty much ready to be painted. I will be using spray cans since I don't own an airbrush. This is my first time, fully painting a model kit. Hopefully, it will turn out alright.

I won't be doing any mods since I don't have the skills nor the experience to do so. I will only be changing the colour scheme to white/shades of metallic blue and maybe some metallic green.

Angel has descended from...

The package from Otacute...

Errr.. I mean Angel has arrived from Japan.
Yesterday was a long, tiring day so seeing that a package had arrived from Otacute when I got home last night was very pleasing.

What I ordered from Otacute were 2 copies of Dengeki G's August. And just as many figure.fm users have mentioned, Otacute includes some "bonuses" with your orders... they sent me 2 sets of Sci-fi Revoltech Brochure+Stickers. Not a big fan of those, so I won't be using them ^^;. (Anyone wants them?)

I remember someone mentioning that she came in pieces, and I assumed you'd need to put together the hands and legs, but it's just the hair, which is no big deal.

Tenshi gattai?!...

This is Tachibana Kanade, aka Tenshi (which means Angel in Japanese), all assembled. Looking good.


Well, I got myself a PS3 about a month ago, so I've been playing with it quite a bit. Along with it, I also got a few games: Little Big Planet (bundled with a controller), Assassin's Creed I & II, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (was bundled with the PS3), God of War I & II Collection (bundled with the PS3), Armored Core 4, and Final Fantasy XIII. I gotta say, it's really awesome since I am able to watch anime on it using the PS3 Media Server. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't compatible with PS2 Games though.

Now I gotta get myself a job, and buy a new TV, since my current one is a piece of crap.

The solar-powered turntables I bought online a few days ago, arrived today!

Round and round...

They're pretty sweet. Since I got home when the sun was already down, I couldn't really test them that well. However, they turn with the light in my room, so that's good. This is perfect to display some of my collection!


Anyways, the house next door caught on fire on Friday at midnight! Luckily no one lives there anymore. The fire was pretty big, the whole roof is burnt black. It wanted to spread over to our side but good thing firefighters arrived before that happened. I lost the picture I took earlier, so I might update this post with one later.

My Gunpla Collection

My first MG Gunpla.

I started collecting and building gunpla back in the summer of 2006. I got my first MG as a birthday gift and since then my collection has grown quite a bit.

I'm guessing that it consists of about 50 models in total. I think I'll make a list of what I got later, when I'm not as lazy. That way I can keep track of what I have and what I don't have.
